my lexmark X6690 does noprint oscan  it sayesa ocr folder missing downloaded abbvy fine reader version 10 still not working got no  install disc
Optional Information:
Make: lexmark
Model: X6690
Already Tried:
abbvy fine reader v 10 ocr folder still no good

Ok, so it is the trial version.
1- Please download it again from here ----> http://finereader.abbyy.com/

2- Follow the prompts and reinstall it (You will receive an email with the information to download it)
3- After ABBYY is reinstalled, please restart your computer (BUT  PLEASE BOOKMARK THIS PAGE SO YOU CAN COME BACK WITH ME AFTER THE  RESTART)

not sure if it is a trial version just says abbyyfine reader 10

basically are you still telling  me to go back  an install drivers from lexmark and because i have installed ocr folders and abbvy reader that this shoud be ok  if not ihave as yousaid book mark page and how long should this take

Ok, please follow the steps below to uninstall the printer software completely and then re-install it:
1- Unplug your printer from the computer
2- Uninstall the Lexmark printer software going to Start, Control Panel, Uninstall a Program
3- Download "windows install cleanup" tool. Go to
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301 and click on "Download the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility package now" to download and install this tool
4- Remove any Lexmark printer application using this tool.
5- Restart the computer.
6- Download the newest driver here:
http://support.lexmark.com/index?page=downloadFile&actp=CONTENT&productCode=LEXMARK_X6690&id=DR10053&segment=SUPPORT&userlocale=EN_US&locale=en
Select OPEN or RUN when prompted
7- After the new driver is installed please restart your computer (BUT PLEASE BOOKMARK THIS PAGE SO YOU CAN COME BACK WITH ME AFTER THE RESTART)
8- Turn on your printer and plug in the USB cable to another available USB port in your computer
9- Please come back to this page and let me know even if it worked or not.
