How many KW does a printer use per hour?

I need this for a bio project.

If you are doing a lab for figuring kilowatts per hour, you need to look on back of the printer and see what the wattage is and do the math. All printers are different.

Normally about 100watts so .1kw
You can look on the label and see the watts.

Usually less than 0.02 kWh in standby mode.

... says that a 100% duty cycle, would give 0.46 kWh.
But such a printer would die in a week or less, having printed more than 300,000 pages.

A medium size printer uses 184 per hour on an annual basis while a larger one can  use around 1.173 on an annual basis. A smaller size printer runs around 156 kilo watt an hour.              Source(s):        Compu - Tech / Ms Certified
