epsonScan_1.0_Per1200Win64eu can be download from: http://www.box.net/shared/5rxsn87mqr.
I did it today (18 Oct 2011) and I now have my Epson 1200U Photo scanning paper and film/negatives on a new Dell laptop with Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit.  Every facility is there.  If it's generic, it certainly recognises and names my scanner in the GUI.  I had despaired of every getting it to work.

Windows 7 drivers for the Epson Perfection 1200U may be found at the following:
Have tested with own 1200U on Windows 7 64-bit. Works properly. It is based on the drivers for the Epson 2400. Minor changes to the .inf file allow it to work. Note that the Start button on the scanner also works. The software is somewhat different than the original. Another option is to buy software that enables the scanner.

I posted this for another user but i'll post it here too,
I remember looking for hours for a driverfor my Epson 1200 scanner back when I upgraded by dad to Vista 64 Bit,eventually I found one. Just today I upgraded him to Windows 7 64 bitand remembered I couldn't get it to work, luckily I was able to dig upthe driver I used for Vista 64. Worked great in Windows 7.
Ican't remember where I found it so I can't credit the person who madethe driver unfortunately, however i've uploaded it to Rapidshare foryou to download. Here is the link:
Just open up the zip file and run the setup. :)
Hope this helps, Merry Christmas!

Hi We are a service center for Epson, they do not make drivers for Windows 7.
If Windows 7 does not have a generic driver that will work, you are out of luck.
