Cannon NP 6551

Recently acquired a Canon 6551 Copier. It starts up and the light comes on for a second, then the copier stops and displays an error code E532 Switch the power off and on again. Tried the power off/on, unplugged it, plugged it in again, opened on closed all the doors. It was working fine before I moved in up a floor in the building, but the bouncing into the elevator must have done something. Any Suggestions? I have some technical background in repairing these, but would like some advice on where to start looking.
Thank You...

Smokey thanks for your valuable *ssistance... The green button that unlocks the stapler unit does not seem to hold it in the up position. I manally held it from going all the way back, while in the start-up mode, and it seems to work fine. A small piece must have bent or broke off. I'll explore that further , but for now it works fine.
Thanks Again,

well the book says, an error has occurred in the spatial relationship between the feed guide and paper retaining sensor (p111)retaining solenoid while the stapler unit shift motor (m3) is operating.   I would check the stapler unit and make sure the jam removal gate is pushed down if it is i would check the white fingers that hold the paper while it is being stapled. good luck

it has to do with the stapler unit. what is the sub code?  take off the sorter back cover and on the board it will flash a number   41.....47. usually it is that the stapler didnt reach home position.
