8150 DN Error 81.0180 EIO 1 Error...

I'm receiving this error message on an Laserjet 8150 DN network printer. I'm not able to find any information specific to this error. It seems to be a problem with the Jetdirect card. Rebooting the printer corrected the problem temporarily but it comes back...any suggestions on this?

Try the following:
1. reseat the Jet direct card.
2. Swap the jetdirect to a different EIO slot.
3. Swap the Jet direct with a known good Jet direct card.
4. perform a cold reset.

I'm receiving this error message on an  Laserjet 8150N network printer. I'm not able to find any information specific to this error. It seems to be a problem with the Jetdirect card. Rebooting the printer corrected the problem temporarily but it comes back...any suggestions on this?

Turns out it is a defective Jetdirect card. This is the first one I've seen to fail in 3 years...

This error is telling you that the EIO card in slot 1 is defective. If the jetdirect is in slot 1, I would try moving it to another slot. If you move it to slot 2, the error should change to reflect this move if the jet direct is bad.
